Country Place to Cullen (Extension) and CR94 to Country Place (Reconstruction)
October 2010
Concrete curb and gutter boulevard extension of McHard Road from Country Place Boulevard to Cullen Road. Storm sewers, 6-ft sidewalk, new traffic signal at Country Place and signal modification at Cullen are also planned with possible bridge crossings. This section now exists as 0.5 mile of 2-lanes which are part of a future 4-lane boulevard. This project will construct the additional 2-lanes of the 0.5 mile stretch and extend the full 4-lane boulevard section from that point to Cullen Road for 1.2 miles from Country Place Boulevard.
Reconstruction portion of the project involves the removal and replacement of a four lane divided concrete curb and gutter boulevard roadway, consisting of two 25-foot wide pavement sections running each direction. The roadway will be raised above existing roadway grade in selected areas to reduce the frequency of roadway flooding. In addition to pavement replacement, existing storm sewer inlets will be adjusted and some new inlets and junction boxes will also be installed.
