Dixie Farm Rd Phase I - Completed

Location:

1500 ft. south of FM 518 to Beamer Rd.

Estimated Completion Date

November 2008

Project Details

This transportation project is the first phase of the Dixie Farm Rd. project, and expands Dixie Farm Rd. from about 1500 ft. south of FM 518 to Beamer Rd to a concrete four lane median divided roadway. The project also includes widening of Mud Gully, Clear Creek and Marys Creek bridges north of FM 518, signals at Blackhawk, McDonald and McGinnis, drainage, sidewalks and landscaping, as well as sound walls along the Dixie Hollow and Dixie Woods subdivisions.

Project Justification

Dixie Farm Rd. is a major thoroughfare, conveying traffic from SH 35 on the south to the northern Pearland City limits at Clear Creek and beyond to IH-45. Expansion to a 4 lane roadway with improved drainage will improve the level of service of this roadway.
