Project Details

This transportation project includes the first phase of construction. This phase includes the new construction of 4 lanes of Magnolia Rd from Harkey Rd to the the widening of the existing two lane segment to 4 lanes from Audubon Place to Veterans Drive, including the total reconstruction and widening of the Harkey Rd bridge over Marys Creek and the McLean Rd bridge over Marys Creek. The project also includes new 12 inch water line from Veterans Drive to Audubon Place, new drainage, traffic signals at Harkey Rd. and McLean Rd., sidewalks, and street lighting.

Project Justification

Magnolia Road is a secondary thoroughfare that will connect the City east and west, and at completion will convey traffic from SH 288 on the west to Pearland Parkway on the east. Expansion to a 4 lane roadway with improved drainage will improve and add an additional east west connection and will increase the level of service of this roadway.
