Project Details

This transportation project includes the third phase of construction. This phase includes the new construction of 2 lanes of Southfork from Morgan Rd to CR 89, and the new construction of 4 lanes of Magnolia Rd from CR 89 to Harkey Rd, and the widening of the existing two lanes of CR 89 from Southfork to Northfork. The project includes two new bridges: on Southfork east of Morgan Rd, and at Marys Creek west of Vail Dr. The project also includes a new 12 inch water line from CR 89 to Harkey Rd, new sanitary trunk main from FM 1128 to Harkey Road, new drainage, and new traffic signals at FM 1128, CR 89, and Morgan Rd., sidewalks, landscaping and street lighting.

Project Justification

Magnolia Road is a secondary thoroughfare that will connect the City east and west, and at completion will convey traffic from SH 288 on the west to Pearland Parkway on the east. Expansion to a 4 lane roadway with improved drainage will improve and add an additional east west connection and will increase the level of service of this roadway.
