Project Details

This transportation project includes the second phase of construction. This phase includes the widening of the existing two lanes of Magnolia Road from Veterans Drive to SH 35, and the widening of the existing two lanes of John Lizer Rd from SH 35 to Pearland Parkway. The project includes a four lane overpass over the BNSF Railroad,and a new 12 inch water line from Veterans Dr to Pearland Parkway, new drainage, and new traffic signals at Veterans Dr., and Pearland Parkway and signal upgrade at SH 35, sidewalks, landscaping and street lighting.

Project Justification

Magnolia Road is a secondary thoroughfare that will connect the City east and west, and at completion will convey traffic from SH 288 on the west to Pearland Parkway on the east. Expansion to a 4 lane roadway with improved drainage will improve and add an additional east west connection and will increase the level of service of this roadway.
